E nergy is flowing through you
L ikely to walk but just keeps going
L istening to people giving instructions
I ts incredible how fast some people can go
N o walking cautions your mom
R unning fast up to the finish line
U nderstanding the way other people feel
N ow you feel great that you made it

I DID IT!
I will post more later...this weekend is a crazy busy one...but we all finished the Bellin Run 10K! It was so exhilarating! I loved every minute. The crowd cheering, the gun firing at the starting line, the water being sprayed across the street by people just wanting to see the human race succeed. It was an amazing experience.
I didn't really care about my time. My goal was to finish the race, running the entire time. And that is exactly what I did. I finished in 1 hour 10 minutes. Brian finished in an awesome 59:20. Alex came in at 1 hour 7 minutes. Logan and Mackenzie finished in 1 hour 20 minutes. I feel such a sense of accomplishment!

I did a short mile and a half in 13 minute 20 seconds. Not great, but do-able. I can't keep up that pace too long...

TJ sporting a new outfit!
6.15 miles
I did a total of 6.15 miles today, but I only ran 5.66 of it. It was hard, but worth it. I was running faster than I normally do, and averaged a 10 1/2 minute mile. WOW!

an easy 2.1 mile run
Coolest thing ever. A website called www.mapmyrun.com So neat! You can actually pinpoint your route to be exactly the amount you want. So, tonight Alex and I ran 2.1 miles. I ran it in 21 minutes (averaging 10 minute miles) and Alex ran it in 16 minutes (I know, quite a difference at a little over 7.5 minute mile average).
