Family Carnival

Today we spent the afternoon at the middle school at a Family Carnival that was in support of the Community Family Resource Center (provides family programs and activities for our community). It was such an inexpensive way to have such fun as a family. There were games, good cheap food, bake sale, cake walks, bounce houses, and a silent auction! We won the silent auction for $60 worth of free bowling passes at a local bowling alley, so we are going to plan a "big kids" night out with Dad, Mom, Alex, Mackenzie, and 2 of the kids friends. And it was a great photo opp!

Are these not two of the cutest faces???

This was the cutest thing! I turned around to get my camera and looked back, and TJ and Kennedy were walking hand in hand back to the carnival (after eating).

TJ sure has a throwing arm!

The girls got their faces and hands painted

Even Alex got his face painted...but I think he knew the girl who was doing it!

Alex, showing off his top hat.

This is TJ with one of Alex's good friends, Kyle...he is just like another big brother for all the kiddos!

Some pics from Camp U-Nah-Li-Ah

I love the jumping in this pic!
The entire bunch of 7th graders!

I even got to go cross country skiing (AND I wore my hair down...aren't you proud?)

Me and my boy! :)

Kids Swim Meet and Friends...

The kids had a swim meet on Saturday morning, and then had some friends over in the afternoon to spend the night and go and see Avatar in 3d. I am so proud of them for their choice in the type of friends they hang out with! They both really have made some good decisions! :)

My new love...

Yep, that's right. It is a kitchen electric...a KitchenAid Mixer. And one large enough for our family! I am in love! I have made bread, cake, waffles, etc. All in a short time. I had been holding out on buying one, because, well, I am just not good at spending money. But when I had the opportunity to purchase a $500 mixer for $190, I just couldn't resist! And so far, so good!

Disney On Ice

I took the three little ones to Disney Princesses on Ice. They just absolutely LOVED it! :) Even TJ got a kick out of it!

This was too funny! I told the girls to curtsy, so TJ, of course, had to try and do his own curtsy!

When the girls realized what he was doing they just cracked up!
We packed the girls Princess Lunch Boxes with yummy stuff so we wouldn't have to buy anything. It is highway robbery out there - $10 for a bag of cotton candy. $18 for a sno-cone. Come ON people! We also went on opening night. So the tickets were only $10 each. So for a grand total of $36 (you know, all the little "fees" they include), the kiddos and I had a nice night out on the town!
