Mackenzie has wanted and needed a tack trunk for her horse shows for a while now...but they are upwards of $800, so we just haven't been able to budget for it. This year we decided that it would be a great project for her and dad to make one together. I don't know who is having more fun...dad or Mackenzie! :) I can't wait to show the final product! It is going to be awesome!

Snow Storm
Honestly, I think it has been a pretty mild winter. Though we have had snow since December, it has been nice not having to many sub zero days of wind chill and frigid conditions. Last week we were unseasonably warm in the mid 40's. All the snow melted...well, not for long! This weekend we had a major blizzard which dropped 10+ inches. I actually love the fresh snow! I am looking forward to spring, but just enjoyiing the beauty of all the seasons for the time being! :)Thursday, October 28, 2010
Carving pumpkins
Pumpkin Picking and Hay rides
Each year, to pick out our pumpkins, we go to a farm in Freedom, where we take a hay ride out to the patch and pick our own.

Mackenzie's New Horse
Mackenzie has a new love. She outgrew Juliet about 2 years ago, but we just haven't had it in the budget to get her a new show horse. Well, today it was official, and "Cali" came to the barn as Mackenzie's horse! She is amazing! She is triple registered AQHA, ABHA and IBHA. Don't worry, I didn't know what all those registrations were either! ;) I just know that when we had her vet checked this morning, Dr. Palmer said that she has one of the best dispositions of any horse he has seen. And he has been a vet for a loooooong time! So now Juliet is passed on to Natalie. Natalie will start showing her in the hunter/jumper circuit next year! Get out the pocket book daddy....
